It is an essential condition to work better, live better, create better.<\/em><\/strong><br>It concerns mental health, physical comfort, the quality of relationships, the possibility of self-expression. It\u2019s about people, every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But where do you start?<br>Sometimes, with an object.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The IUAV x Magnetica Design project: workplace well-being and sustainable design objects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This article tells the story of a special collection: 19 objects born from the collaboration between Magnetica Design and the students of the Product and Systemic Design course at the IUAV University of Venice.<br>A real design laboratory, where the theme of workplace well-being was addressed with concrete tools: recovered materials, industrial processes, and creative vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not an academic exercise, but a project shared among business, university, and community\u2014capable of transforming industrial scraps into resources to improve everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Magnetica approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The identity of Magnetica is built on three fundamental principles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Environment<\/strong> \u2192 developing products starting from recovered materials, reducing waste, promoting circularity in production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social<\/strong> \u2192 involving schools, institutions, collaborators, and communities in a shared creative ecosystem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Governance<\/strong> \u2192 activating a responsible and inclusive network, where environmental sustainability also generates collective well-being<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The brief: designing well-being, for real<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The students did not work on a theoretical exercise but on a real challenge:<br><strong>How can workplace well-being be improved through tangible objects made with metal scraps?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two key constraints:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Objects designed to support and improve everyday working life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production achievable exclusively using industrial metal scraps<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is a collection that combines ethics and functionality. Projects that speak of care, attention, and beauty. And that demonstrate how upcycling can also become a high-impact design gesture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each object is designed to accompany those who work. Not as decoration, but as a tool for balance, organization, and focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">19 sustainable design objects for better workspaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CH\u00d6<\/strong> \u2013 A device that guides breathing through tactile vibrations. Helps regain mental rhythm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WAARM<\/strong> \u2013 Thermal wrist rest against computer stress. Ergonomic, can heat or cool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STILNESS<\/strong> \u2013 Tray for shared breaks. A simple gesture that strengthens relationships among colleagues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>HYDRO<\/strong> \u2013 Desk hydroponic module. Brings nature, improves air quality, and enhances visual well-being.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MODUL DESK<\/strong> \u2013 Modular steel organizer designed to optimize workspace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OPLO<\/strong> \u2013 Magnetic organizer for shared surfaces. Versatile, dynamic, and easy to reposition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NO-MO<\/strong> \u2013 Compact laptop stand. Lightweight and portable, ideal for working anywhere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GALLERY<\/strong> \u2013 Minimalist personal hand warmer. They are prototypes designed for real professional environments: offices, coworking spaces, laboratories, schools, shared spaces, and hybrid contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some are intended for concentration, others for sociality, still others for mobility or relaxation. All are tools of well-being: adaptable, lightweight, and durable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working well is not a matter of occasional comfort, but of daily choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when design is born from listening, responsibility, and collaboration, it becomes a tangible tool for collective well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Well-being is designed.
